Neoprene also known as Chloroprene (CR) is a black coloured, synthetic rubber. Neoprene is a versatile rubber which has properties similar to natural rubber, however is more resistant to outdoor and chemical elements.

Neoprene is an adaptable material due to being UV resistant and compatible with oil and petroleum-based products. Neoprene is also heat resistant and therefore durable in high temperature applications. Some neoprene forms are water resistant (closed cell form).
